Yak is an ultra-soft fibre which comes from the underside of sheared yak’s wool. As soft as cashmere, hypoallergenic with thermo-regulating properties. It's also breathable, water & odour-resistant, and very strong.
Yak’s wool has a higher lustre than sheep’s wool and is beautifully lightweight. The addition of silk makes this yarn even more lustrous, and strong with no halo to hide the shine. This yarn feels completely amazing on your needles, and stunning for garments and accessories alike. We even make socks with it!
