We LOVE this gorgeous pattern by Helga Isager, knit in Alpaca 3 and Spinni, a yarn combination that makes a surprisingly nice, rustic but at the same time soft fabric.

You will also need:
- Knitting needles: 6 mm (US10) and 6.5 mm (US10½)
- Crochet hook: 3.75mm (US size 5) (to make button loops)
- Stitch markers
- Stitch holders
- 4 toggle buttons or similar

MEASUREMENTS
- Half chest circumference: 53 (61.5) cm [20 3/4 (24 1/4) inches]
- Total length: 52 (57) cm [20 1/2 (22 1/2) inches]
The vest has fine details with rib edges that continue into the pattern, and a beautiful collar.
The shape of the vest follows the pattern repeat which makes the calculating of sizes difficult. Using the original yarn combination, the pattern only has two sizes: S/M and L/XL. However if you want a close fitting vest, the smaller size with its deep armholes can be worn by someone who is size L.
For a smaller vest (size XS) the vest can be knitted on needle size 6 mm with only one strand of Alpaca 3 (no Spinni) and following the numbers for size S/M. For a larger vest (size XXL – XXXL) knit with two strands of Spinni on needle size 7 mm, following the number for size M/L.
